Scope | Rear/Side Extension, Internal Renovations |
Status | Sketch/Concept Design Completed |
Recently moved to the village in a very prominent location within the village conservation area, our client wanted to make better space of the existing floor area and extend at first floor.
We were appointed to carry out a sketch/concept sketch proposal to ascertain exactly what our client wanted, to then be followed by a planning application and building regulation drawings.
The final scheme provides better use of the ground floor, meaning that the ground floor bathroom and rear entrance area become amalgamated into a dining area, which is open up more with the kitchen by the removal of a wall, and an opening created through to the main reception room. This proposal ensures that there is an open plan feel but with a little privacy. The ground floor also now accommodates a new rear entrance, with downstairs loo, and boot room.
The first floor now accommodates a large family bathroom, a guest bedroom and a master suite with feature window, vaulted ceiling s and ensuite. The proposal sits on top of the existing ground floor footprint, therefore ensuring now garden space was lost but maximising the usable area to provide space for a new young growing family.
