Scope Rear/Side Extension, Major Internal Renovations New build garage/store
Status Complete

Village Conservation Areas, old properties in need of a good renovation and extension, a good eye, a client with fantastic taste and ideas and thats a winning combination.

The existing house sits within the Village Conservation area, on a very prominent corner of the village. Built originally by the family owning and still living in the neighbouring property this house was ready for a major face lift. We were appointed to provide concept sketches, which were submitted for a pre-app, and followed on with a full planning application and building regulations/construction drawing package.

The new works provide our client with a fantastic property, that retains its old heritage whilst taking on a guise of modern contemporary architecture. Down stairs the focal point is the open plan kitchen/dining family room area that over looks a private sunken sitting area, a small pond with waterfall , further looking onto the landscaped garden and garage/store to the driveway area.

Looking at this project now seems a far cry from what the existing house was like. Walls were opened up, blocked up, changed shape, all to accommodate a fantastic living space, a double bedroom with ensuite, a study/office, entrance hall/bootroom, utility area. The ground floor has a great flow, as you walk around the property with natural steps moving from  living area to the kitchen area through the existing main house.

The first floor extension accommodate the new master suite with vaulted ceiling and views to the bottom of the garden, a large walk in wardrobe, and large ensuite, all finished to the highest standard with impeccable attention to detail.

This is a project that not only we are proud to have been a part of but the clients finishing touches and fantastic finishing flair really show this project off to its full potential.
